New Delhi!
It ws completly New for me when 1st time I landed up in this grt city on the eveng of 19th Novemer 2007. Not gonna tel more about my 1st time's experience with Delhi now as it might tak a looong time to xplain it! The aim f this post is to share few of those things of Delhi which many of ppl may not know! New Delhi s famous for its style! Yup no wonder its d most stylish place with stylish ppl but i wil not tak any credit away from our Bangalore but only difference is the Infrastructure. But the stylish ppl is almost d same here or there. As I mentioned about infrastructure Its jus superb here compared to Blore. The jewel to the crown is the Metro Rail. Superb & very comfortable & time saving & ofcourse very stylish. The ticket counter machanism, communication & information is definately matching International standards by all means. On the other hand you wld see very broad roads with vehicles topping up with 70+ speed very easily in most of roads. But d same time u will be surprised to see Cycle rickshaw almost everywher throught the NCR(National Capital Region which consists of Delhi-Noida(U.P)-Gurgaon(Haryana)) Yup, here for small distance travelling ppl use these cycle rick, I ws really surprised to see them in delhi, this s d one thing i really didnt expect to see this city but It s really helping many poor families to hav their daily bread. The worst part of Delhi is the Public Transport Buses. Yup I just hate it to the core. Just look at these pics of Blue Line buses as I said Its just Hell to travel in them.

Yeah Delhi Govt started to fill the city with much better Green Busses & Red Volvo buses but otherwise rest of the buses so caled BlueLine buses r just Hell. It is nothing but a iron box fills ppl like animals ( can u believe if I say ther wil be over 150 ppl filled in each bus!). To add more mirchi its illiterate & absurd drivers.. Uff its just Hell man..travel in it once to feel d pain..If u were used to travel in Udupi-Manglore's laxury express buses then U wil feel d heck here! Plus the connectivity prob. If u wanna travel from say Noida to Gurgaon( Its just 40km) it takes 3 n half hours with a min of 3 buses and in all the buses u will be standing!! The same distance say Katpady -Malnglore u might need a max of 50min but here its nearly 210mins!!!! ( Ofcourse if Metro runs into these 2 places things might change & expected Metro rollout is within Commonwealth games 2010) One more thing vch I observe here is the clear differenciation of Poverty & Richness. Here u can easily see lots n lots of Mercedes range's cars rolling frequently with ppl who talks of Multi million business to hogg multicrores of profits and at the same time u wld see the young ppl selling a glass of water to earn a 50 pisa!! Yes, its really sad/shocking to see.. Ther is a distinct difference in poverty level.. Ppl sell water/cocunut pieces n many more things for 1-2rs each & i dnt kno hw much thy r gonna earn for it.. The entertainment is so costly here tht i always miss my Manglore wehn it comes d matter of goin for multiplexes! :) ya Min movie ticket here is 180-150rs vch is a normal ticket wher u get a Gold class ticket for the same price at Namma Kudla:P + Popcorn Coke with 150rs + 300rs if u go for lunch/dinner(300r for 1 person not for the entire grp!!) So on a weekend u will end up spending atleast 1000rs EASILY!!! But still you will spend bcaz thts d sole entertainment u can hv at the cheapest price!!!

One more comparision i can make about living is housing/colony/localities. U may find ppl living in super luxury apartments starting not less than 3-4 Crore Rs and same time u wld see ppl living in really bad locations to live. U cld see Hi-Tech buildings at te same time the old tampered plastered buildings with wires all over giving no clues whatsoever!

As i mentioned the roads early in the entrance few of Toll roads are just amazing. Delhi Noida DND Fly way, Noida- Greater Noida Expressway, Delhi-Gurgaon Toll Road are the beauties to ride. Below is the aerial view of Delhi-Gurgaon road.

Whatever it is, Delhi is a gud place to hang out...infact the Best place.! Will write about its various shopping spots, hangout corners very soon!!
