Millionaire Pattis seller!!

Preamble

Sector 18 market which is famously known as "Atta Market"( I wonder why it is Atta!! When I heard it for the 1st time I thought its famous for Atta!! But so far i hvnt seen anyone selling Atta there!!) one of the key center of Noida for shopping, hangout , eating and timepass. Currently bit messy due to the Metro Train construction but everything will be back on target when Metro train roars into Noida:) (Nov 09)

Intro

Well, the topic of this post is about a boy who sells Pattis(Puffs) in a small cabin at Sector 18 market. Veg pattis, paneer pattis and veg burger these are the 3 items which he sells off. His panner puffs are out of the world..Really tasty.. One fine evening it just happened to taste those pattis and after that I am a great fan of those Pattis:) I didnt meet him in last 4-5 months. He is quite a good person to talk when u pass by . Whenever i used to visit his place to have that tasty pattis he used to tell about his background n all.. He is from a small village of Jharkand. He claims that his family owns lots acres of land in the village and he was forced to work in farms which he was lazy to do. He wanted to enjoy an easy life so he moved to Delhi with his elder brother. He just went till 5th standard but he knows couple of English words and the one thing I liked is whenever I used to meet him he would ask me some words in Hindi and i used to translate in English. Its very nice to see his hunger to learn English.

To add more, He is just 18 but already married!!( I was thinking in mind how lucky you are maaaan :P) Hey stop. Read next about the shocking facts faced by this hero! Do you know,he met his so called wife only once and that is on the wedding DAY thats itIII! She is still at her parent's home because she is still going to school and attempting her 10th grade!! And the funny thing is the scary lakshman rekha drawn by his father-in law ,the Great jamindar of a neighbouring village! There are few guidelines ( I can say Goal settings as our supervisor sets during each quarter!) Starting with 1. You can talk only once in a day to my daughter 2. You can not talk more than 15min at a time 3. When you come to village you can visit her only for a day during lunch time!!! O.M.G what the hell i am hearing maaan.. I didnt wish to listen more guidelines as I was already in terror.(Remember the Shock laga laga laga advt!!) Poor chap hehe really feeling pity on him.. I forgot to ask him till when these guidelines are valid!! I assume it as till she finishes her studies!!

Serious Buzz-- You Are A Millionaire!! Gosh!!

Now into the main subject --Just today morning read in newspaper that America's top automaker GM declared bankruptcy. But why? It is Global meltdown, economic slowdown in short it is "RECESSION dear"! But for whom?!!!!!!!! Who said recession stoke badly to "ALL" .There are few people like this Sunil who have no worries infact no idea of recession and you will be shocked if i reveal his monthly income!!!! But I really thank him for being so open minded with me to share each & everything of his day to day life. Thank you dude. He works from morning 12 till his eatables gets over . Most of the time till 8pm or 9pm and rarely till 10pm. His daily turnover is 4000 - 5000rs that is nearly 1,50,000/month or a shocking 18 lakhs turnover/year!!( to my friends who does not know the exact meaning of turnover- turnover means the total business including your profits. Suppose if your day's business is 100rs you might have spent 50rs to buy the goods and 50rs profit but turnover is 100rs. Got it?!!) Can you belive it!!!!!!!!!! I was stunned for a min when he revealed his day's income. Poor chap dont even know his tunover is 18 lakh/year. Buddy you are a Millionaire yaar!!!! Now about the profit: Each day he buys product for 2.5k to 3k. So his daily savings or profit is 2.5k means 75000/month or simply 9 lakhs an year!! Listen dude we talk about packages in software industry and you are drawing a giant package of 9lakh/annum( With NO TAX deduction!!!). It was winter when i was talking to him, the temp of Delhi at that time was around 11c but who cares I was sweating all over after hearing all this. Hey Sunil are you telling the truth? Are you sure you can save so much? I confirmed twice because i just could not believe it. Haan sir itna tho horaha hai Sardi bhi hai na tho pattis bikhjayega but garmi mein thoda khamm hoga shayad!( Yes sir, In winter i get this kinda business but i think in summer it might be slightly lesser)

More wonders!!

Uff i just wanted to leave to my home asap because i was feeling embarrassed to talk to such a Millionaire guy!!!!!! But I asked him how do u manage with money what u do and how do u utilize.. The ans was much more shocking. This guy dont even know where the money goes! Yes! His uncle & elder bro takes it all and inretun his uncle gives shelter at delhi and gives him some money when he goes to village..Damn it man!!..your uncle is a crook but how to say..Afternoon 2pm, eveng 5pm and night 9pm at these 3 times his uncle comes to his place and clears the cash box leaving 30rs and few coins for change . Where and what happens to the money he never asked and his uncle never revealed. When i asked, Sunil says "Paisa se kya karna hai saab muje tho rukhne kliye jagah diya hai uncle ji ne..bahut achhe hai jo bhi karenge achhe hi karenge, muje khet me kaam nahi karna hai sab isliye tho yahan hun"" !! Wah man wah what a Dil!! If his uncle comes to know about these golden words he will be out of the world with joy then surely his Dil mange more from Sunil!

If you think whatever Sunil earns everything goes to His uncle means you are wrong! A major chunk of it goes to the Noida Police too!! Wondered ? I will explain, a small 5X5 place to sell his pattis and its not an official shop thus UP police demands 25k from him each month!!! If he does not pay then the next day he will be enjoying the bashing from police+that will be the end of his shop in that place!!! Listen i will tell you guys more!! In the entire sector 18 market there are more than 200 such illegal food sellers like Sunil and from each such Sunil the police takes money .. why? because they are allowing you to place your tent over there. Gosh maaan!! Gimme a break! Either you dont allow them there or just allow it simple, why do u swallow money?? I never believed till i saw it in my own eyes! one fine evening i was there having my pattis and a police in his Bullet just came & parked near one of the shop and was shouting "Where is this month's money if you dnt give within 2 days i wont allow you to sell anything in this place or go somewhere else" !! Damn it.. what the hell.. its really true its happening over there.. And it s also true that it is happening in many places of Noida. there is no difference n Mumbai's mafia hafta and here police asking this money.!!

Final Note

So this is the story of this Millionaire but still not even a 100rs in hand at the end of the day! Its almost 5-6 months I hvnt met him, infact i did not go near that place as I was busy exploring Delhi during these days:) Probably i will visit Mr.Sunil one more time to know more news about his uncle,wife, great father-in-law and more importantly his English learning. Will definitely update you all if he becomes Multi-Millionaire from Millionaire status!!
